I have to admit, Charles Schultz was a goddamn pro. It was actually pretty hard to draw these characters, and I still didn't get them quite right. Oh well.

That quote Linus says, it's not real, I just made it up. But hell, I was just making him like he is in the comic, ungodly wise for a ten year old.

It is Dostoevsky. Good guess on him saying it, he said a lot in Brothers Karamozov. But this is the only quote I could find with that phrase in it:
